From 2011 to 2018 I worked  working with a small ministry based in Medellín, Colombia and I am still on their Board. The ministry was registered as a charity in Colombia in 2014 as the Vive Foundation (Fundación Comunidad Vive in Spanish). Its main focus is to train and equip churches in areas of Colombia particularly affected by the conflict to care for the children in their communities. Children in these areas are particularly vulnerable to physical and sexual abuse, being abandoned and forced to work.

There are now over 50 Funky Frog Clubs in the north of Colombia where children play, worship God and learn the Bible with their leader-friends. The leaders also take time every week to pray for the children.

You can read the history of the Vive Foundation in a series of blogs I published in September 2017, starting here.

If you would like to support the work of the Vive Foundation financially you can do so here, on the Latin Link website. Latin Link is a charity registered in England (1020826).
